British Columbia is the ocean province with a maritime economy contributing over eleven billion dollars annually to provincial GDP. BCIC supports the development and growth of the Ocean Technology sector (the largest provincial ocean tech sector in Canada) by developing initiatives to boost the wealth creation capacity of sector companies. Support is also directed towards applied Ocean Technology research and collaboration with various academic and industry partners.
BCIC is focused on the future by championing opportunities with emerging ocean technology and supporting the development of future ocean technology leaders.
