Aquaculture and Marine Bioproducts

The British Columbia Aquaculture Research and Development Committee (BCARDC) was developed in 2001 in cooperation with the B.C. Ministery of Agriculture and Fisheries motivated by a mandate to create a capacity to conduct applied research related to the provincial aquaculture industry.

BCIC continues to support the BCARDC to identify and conduct research in these five key areas: Coastal Planning and Management, Environmental Interactions, Monitoring and Operational Technologies, Socio/Economics and Animal Production.
