The worldwide demand for maritime and port security solutions is growing rapidly as the security of our vast ocean borders becomes increasingly important. BCIC's catalytic and strategic support for the development of maritime and port security solutions will position British Columbia as a global competitor in the field.
BCIC, in collaboration with system users, industry, security and port authorities and federal, provincial and local governments, has developed a staged concept for the creation of a Maritime and Port Security Demonstration Project that will create the capacity within the sector to capture this global opportunity.
