BC-China ICSD Program
As a result of the MOU signed between BCIC and the MOST of the People's Republic of China on March 3rd, 2006, the parties have jointly initiated the Innovation and Commercialization Strategic Development (ICSD) Program focusing on innovation and commercialization for their mutual benefit.
The objective of the ICSD Program is to support excellence in research, technology development and commercialization projects of interest to both parties. Supported projects are expected to:
- Benefit both British Columbia and China
- Build productive alliances between British Columbian and Chinese researchers, technology developers, companies and organizations
- Provide mutual access to strategically-focused, leading-edge research, technology development and commercialization opportunities
- Draw on the complementary strengths of British Columbia and China to the mutual benefit of both jurisdictions
