Ocean Tech's Place in British Columbia's $12 Billion Dollar Ocean Economy

Announcement | April 22, 2008

The British Columbia Innovation Council (BCIC) is pleased to support the "Ocean Tech's Place in British Columbia's $12 Billion Dollar Ocean Economy" forum presented by the Cooperative Ocean Innovation Network (COIN Pacific) on April 29, 2008 in Sidney, B.C.

Discussing challenges currently faced by the ocean economy, the forum brings to the forefront a dialogue about emerging opportunities in the near future. Leading speakers at the event will paint a current environmental scan of this dynamic sector, accounting for new initiatives and rallying for an integrated approach with the Pacific Ocean communities.

COIN Pacific has a strong history of bringing private, public and non-government communities together to map out the growth and development of the Ocean Technology sector in B.C. With all financial proceeds from the forum seeding a new Ocean and Marine Scholarship to develop strong talent in the sector, the forum is truly a venue focused on securing a bright future for the Pacific Ocean Economy.
