BCIC Supports the PMC-Sierra 9th Annual 5K Science Fair Fun Run

Announcement | May 23, 2008

The British Columbia Innovation Council (BCIC) is proud to be a Silver sponsor for the PMC-Sierra Science Fair Fun Run on May 25, 2008 in Vancouver.

The Science Fair Fun Run brings together over 1,000 students, educators and families who support and promote science and technology education. With engaging activities planned for the race, the event celebrates the success and broad reach of the Science Fair Programs, which impact over 60,000 students across B.C. and the Yukon each year.

The Science Fair Fun Run is regarded as one of the largest events in the technology industry-providing a fun-filled opportunity for members of industry, education and government communities to show their support. All proceeds support the promotion and development of Science Fair Programs in B.C. through the Dr. Michael Smith Science Fair Endowment. By actively encouraging students and the community to participate in Science Fairs, BCIC is committed to inspiring students to explore the possibilities offered in B.C.'s thriving knowledge economy.
