Natural Resources and Applied Sciences Endowment
The Natural Resources and Applied Sciences (NRAS) Endowment has been established by the Province of British Columbia to enhance the economy and quality of life for British Columbians by building a strong research and development, advanced training, technology transfer and commercialization environment. This will be achieved through targeted investments in activities relating to natural resources, the applied sciences and engineering.

BCIC provides annual funding to B.C. post-secondary and other research institutions in support of technology transfer and commercialization initiatives.
Entrepreneurs in Residence
BCIC is establishing virtual offices in strategic research institutes and centres at B.C. post-secondary institutions in order to identify technology research and innovation projects located within faculties and departments that have commercialization potential.
Proof of Concept Development Fund
BCIC provides support for new ventures to develop proof of concepts and prototypes in order to advance their technology innovations to commercialization. The program is intended to develop new technologies to attract potential investors and future customers.
Advanced Technology Sales Training
The shortage of industry sales management who are specifically trained in advanced technology sales has been identified as a critical gap in growing B.C.'s technology industries. BCIC is supporting the development of advanced technology sales training initiatives at two leading British Columbia post-secondary institutions.
