The shortage of industry sales management who are specifically trained in advanced technology sales has been identified as a critical gap in growing B.C.'s technology industries. BCIC is supporting the development of advanced technology sales training initiatives at two leading British Columbia post-secondary institutions.
- The UBC Centre for Sales Excellence in the Sauder School of Business at The University of British Columbia includes an education and research centre, an endowed chair and a new program specialization in advance technology sales.
- The SFU Program in High Technology Sales Excellence at Simon Fraser University's Segal School of Business will provide advanced training for mid-career technology professionals.
