Natural Resources and Applied Sciences Endowment

The Natural Resources and Applied Sciences (NRAS) Endowment has been established by the Province of British Columbia to enhance the economy and quality of life for British Columbians by building a strong research and development, advanced training, technology transfer and commercialization environment. This will be achieved through targeted investments in activities relating to natural resources, the applied sciences and engineering.

The first two NRAS programs support British Columbia's most accomplished and promising researchers working on projects that hold potential for significant social, environmental and economic benefit to the province in the near- and long-term future. The programs specifically focus on innovative solutions to problems while anticipating possibilities for significant leverage from national and international funding sources.
