BC Aquaculture & Environment Innovation Awards will enhance research capacity in the area of aquaculture and the environment in British Columbia. Funded by the BC Innovation Council and the BC Aquaculture Research and Development Committee through the Aquaculture and Environment Research Fund, the goal of these awards is to catalyze the formation of long term collaborative research programs through the funding of research positions of five (or more) years in duration which will lead to environmental sustainability solutions for BC aquaculture. The awards will enable leveraging of additional funds from other sources which will be a critical success factor in the development of these programs.
