The BC Aquaculture Research and Development Commitee, through the Aquaculture Research and Environment Fund, periodically hosts workshops as the first step in establishing research priorities for specific areas of aquaculture study. Workshops involve presentations and participation from leading scientists from across the country and internationally to learn about new advances in knowledge and to assist in identifying major research gaps which need to be addressed.
