BCIC offers multi-year scholarships to full-time resident and international graduate students enrolled in eligible science and technology graduate programs in B.C. post-secondary institutions. The scholarships support students to advance technology research and innovation towards commercialization.
BCIC partners with a number of regional and industry organizations to offer specific scholarships in B.C. regions and in a number of advanced technology sectors:
- Precarn Inc. - Intelligent Systems
- Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust - Southern Interior Region
- Canadian Ocean Industries Network - Ocean Industries
Recipients are required to enroll in an entrepreneurship course of their choosing and may collaborate with industry partners on their research and innovation projects. Together with business graduate student partners they will develop business plans for the commercialization of their projects and present the plans to a panel of industry experts and investors.
Award Method: Individual application to BCIC
Award Length [Maximums]: Masters - Two years | Doctoral - Three years
Award Value [Maximums]: Masters - $20,000/year | Doctoral - $25,000/year
