BCIC fosters innovation and entrepreneurship in British Columbia's primary through secondary schools (K-12). Through its own programs and initiatives as well as partnerships with school districts, individual schools, specialist teacher organizations and outreach organizations, BCIC supports science and technology education for students in the province.
BCIC promotes, coordinates and facilitates programming offered by science and technology outreach organizations to students in the province's schools. To encourage secondary students to continue their education in British Columbia, BCIC offers scholarships to enter science, technology, digital arts and business programs at post-secondary institutions in the province.
BCIC also manages entrance scholarships and fellowships for a number of research and industry organizations and private endowments.
